National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers & Coaches (NRASTC). This is an assessment in practical lifesaving skills that may be needed by anyone teaching or coaching swimming or another programmed activity in a pool. It is endorsed by the Amateur Swimming Association, the Institute of Sport and Recreation Management and the Institute of Swimming Teachers and Coaches. | First Aid Appointed Persons. This is a 1 day course designed for persons acting in a supporting role to qualified first aiders. It focuses on the knowledge and skills necessary to meet the requirement to act in a first aid support role and will cover areas such as: aims/principles of first aid; incident/casualty management; CPR; assessment/treatment of wounds/bleeding, shock, fractures, burns and scalds; how to apply dressings.
